Athens 'Socializer Souvenir' Event Event Cache

After getting the first five souvenirs early in August, we have now found that there are no events anywhere near Athens to get the socializer souvenir. Even the closest one, the ESG event in Snellville, is too far for us. Being the completionists that we are, we have decided to take matters into our own hands and host our own event. Be warned that we have never hosted an event before, so bear with us.

For many local cachers, this may be the last chance to get the socializer souvenir for the month of August. Whether you already have the souvenir or not, everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

The event will be held on Thursday, August 28 from 7:00–8:30 PM in a popular Athens restaurant. Parking is plentiful around the building. Permission from the restaurant has been given for up to 30 attendees. If it seems like more will attend, we will try to secure extra space, but cannot guarantee it.

The event will be pretty informal, but we do plan to hold a game of general knowledge trivia with a prize for the winning team. There will also be a caching-themed word search for kids (or adults!). Otherwise, we can just swap caching stories or talk about some of the more difficult local caches. Since this is our first time hosting, if anyone has suggestions for anything else we can do, just mention it in the logs.
