Find, photograph, and log a mosque anywhere in the world.
***FYI: As you may know, this cache along with all other
locationless caches will be archived on January 1, 2006***
For the appreciation of Islamic art, and in the spirit of cross
cultural education, the mission of this virtual cache is to locate
and photograph a mosque anywhere in the world. You must also supply
at least one piece of information on the mosque's history.
Be sure to include a photograph with your GPS in it (no old
photos), and the history item. Logs without a GPS picture won't be
accepted.
Only one mosque per cacher, and only one log per mosque. Please
use mosques that are/were functioning places of worship.
Try to meet someone there, you may be pleasantly surprised.
Please be respectful - some mosques do allow non-Muslims inside,
some do not - just ask!
Okay! Now for the final updates! Sorry for the delay, but I
didn't realize that locationless caches would also be locked to
owners for updates. Thanks much to "erik88l-r" for posting my
changes.
So, the final count is: 428 logged finds (7 other unique mosques
were entered as "posted notes"); and nearly 1000 pictures! Below is
the breakdown of where they are. Also, be sure to check out the
maps and collages of some of my favorites linked below.
