A ARRIBA FÓSSIL DE SANTO ANTÓNIO
Entre os povoados de Santo António e São Roque (na ilha do Pico) estende-se por cerca de 3500 m uma arriba fóssil, que corta escoadas lávicas “pahoehoe” e “aa” que testemunham o crescimento da ilha. Neste local são visíveis cascatas de lava e outras estruturas típicas de escoadas basálticas pahoehoe (exemplos: lava encordoada, moldes lávicos de árvores) e um peculiar afloramento ancaramítico).
É uma zona constituída por falésias abruptas e “praias” de seixos rolados.
Em 2014 o lugar de S. Miguel Arcanjo, foi marcado por várias derrocadas, devido há existência de várias fendas que aquela falésia apresenta. Estes deslizamentos de terras, desalojaram 31 pessoas que viviam naquele lugar, deixando ainda nove casas com danos significativos e encerrando a estrada que passa na localidade.

ARRIBA FOSSIL OF SAINT ANTHONY
Between the villages of St. Anthony and St. Roque (in Pico Island) one fossil cliff extends for about 3500 m, lava flows cut "pahoehoe" and "aa" to witness the growth of the island. In this place there are visible cascades of lava and other structures typical of basaltic pahoehoe disposed (examples: rope lava, lava molds of trees) and a peculiar ancaramítico outcrop).
It is an area consisting of steep cliffs and "beaches" of pebbles.
In 2014 the place of St. Michael the Archangel, was marked by several landslides, due to the existence of several cracks that shows on that cliff. These landslides, displaced 31 people who lived in that place, still leaving nine homes with significant damage and closing the road that passes in the locality.
