Consent obtained for placement of this cache in the National Park
The walk to this cache is about 6 klm round trip, will take about 2 hours, and requires a moderate level of fitness. Parts of the track have a few tricky places to negotiate and the final approach to GZ has two very steep sections with a lot of loose gravel. Be mindful of this if taking along the geokids. Park at the Smoky Cape Lighthouse carpark, reflect on a little bit of history before taking the paved walkway down to the start of the track titled Smoky Cape to Green Island. Don't be tempted down the Jack Perkins Track even though it looks to be the obvious choice. So come prepared, enjoy the journey and I'm sure you will agree the end result has been worth it. Cache is a cliplock container, with logbook and pencil.
