1948 there were a couple of houses removed and hundreds of yards of dirt excavated to build Poier Chevrolet. I was a little boy and they let me bring my toy dump trucks down and play in the dirt; building roads and driving my trucks around. It was a safe place for me to play when the big equipment wasn’t working. I played with my trucks here and in 1970 I bought my first new Chevy pickup from Poier Motors on this same lot. Lots of changes have gone on in this location. The only change in me is that I was a young kid and now I am an old kid.
