The Targa Florio was an open road endurance race held in the mountains of Sicily near Palermo. Founded in 1906, it was the oldest sports car racing event, part of the World Sportscar Championship between 1955 and 1973. The Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie was used from 1932-1936 and 1951-1977. It was 72 kilometres (45 mi) long, and was lapped 11 times.
To follow the Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie, then you will need to find caches "Targa Florio 01, 02, 03, 04, & 05". If these first caches prove popular, then I will add more to mark out the other routes used.

Targa Florio 01 will take you to (where else) the start/finish line of the Targa Florio races. The Grandstand is still there to be seen, although it is not safe to enter and is fenced off. PLEASE do not cross the fence. The cache is not inside the fence.
This series of caches is not designed to be difficult to find, so the hint and spoiler photo should lead you right there once at GZ. The cache is a small tupperware box and contains log book, pencil and sharpener, and packed full of swaps.
Please replace as found.
If heading on to Targa Florio 02, take the SS120 towards Cerda.
