Local Information
Dale is a small village and community in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, located on the Dale Peninsula which forms the northern side of the entrance to Milford Haven estuary. The village has 205 inhabitants according to the 2001 census.
It has a pebbled beach with various pockets of sands dotted around providing non-stoney areas to sit.
Dale is a local centre for sailing, and Windsurfing is taught in the Dale bay, along with sailing and boat handling courses. Various boats, windsurfers and Kayaks can be hired on a hourly basis at a relevently cheap price from the Dale Sailing Store. Dale is also often the location of sailing galas. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path passes through the village and around the Dale peninsula.
Dale also has one newly refurbished pub, a cafe, a coronation hall ( which hosts mainy art and craft shows as well as the annual WI fete sale on the august bank-holiday weekend) and a seperate craft shop in the what used to be post office.
If your planning to stay on the beach during the day check out the tide times to see when is best to sail and land.
The cache itself is a nano container placed in a position where EXTREME stealth is required especially at high season. It contains just a log book so please bring your own pen.
