Greenway Playtime Multi-cache

Bring a pen and paper to this seven stage "tortured math" multi-cache located in Sandy Springs' newest park (as of July of 2014). The first stage is comprised of six waypoints that are for information gathering only, with the final being a container with room for a log only...but you'll get to see some cool playable art along the way. Start at the eastern end of the park (the posted coordinates) for Stage 1.

Coordinates are given for each waypoint, but just walking the path heading west will bring you to each waypoint without the need for exact coordinates.

Before going to Stage 1, it will be useful for you to convert the alphabet to numbers (A=1, B=2, ... Z=26). At each waypoint (WP), you'll be taking note of the words in the middle of each plaque - the largest letters in all caps. Ignore any punctuation (commas, apostrophes, ampersands, etc.) Use those letters in the formula at each stage description below. The numbers written below indicate the position of a letter in the words on the plaque - they are NOT the actual coordinates for the final (example: If a 3 is given and the text reads "JOE SMITH", 'e' is the third position...you take it from there):

For the North portion of the coordinates

Waypoint 1 (u): 8

Waypoint 2 (v): 6-9

Waypoint 3 (w): 8+11

For the West portion of the coordinates

Waypoint 4 (x): 2-5

Waypoint 5 (y): 1

Waypoint 6 (z): 4+9

The final is located at N 33° 56.uvw W 084° 23.xyz

NOTE: PLEASE do not post any photographs of the plaques. Those would be spoilers and would take all the fun out of the hunt for others...and I would just delete them.
