Geocache Description:

I met Racecarchick when Paandtina published a new cache (back in 2011!) and I raced down to Lakeside to try to get FTF.  Jeepers_Creepers had already beat us to it, but was hiding out in his Jeep watching the rest of us scurry around like ants trying to find the prize.  After I finally got my name inside, we all got to talking...  conversation got to night caches, and RCC mentioned she wanted to do Dark Forest of Knowlton, but wouldn't do it alone...  I had also been wanting to do it, and a friendship was born.  We have had so many adventures in the years since.  If it wasn't for Racecarchick, I don't think I ever would have found Carmen's Way or Rice's Point Fishing Pier or Runcible Spoon or countless others!!  We make a great team.  It's been a lot of fun, so many laughs, some blood, maybe a few tears, and a LOT of bushwacking!  Congratulations to Racecarchick on her 1000th find!!

I suggest you beach your canoe or boat on the nearby island, and then start swimming.  This cache is located under water.  You WILL get wet.  The log is inside a bison tube, which is inside a pill bottle, which is inside two layers of ziplock bags, which is inside a blue water bottle.  PLEASE do not add a pen, as they simply tend to poke holes in the plastic baggies, and I'd like to keep this one dry, if possible.  So, bring your own writing stick, and then take it home with you.  The water bottle is attached to a brick via a carabiner.  You do not need to move the brick.  :)  Just unhook the carabiner.  Please return as found.  Happy Hunting!
