Reaching the summit of Mt. Samambaia is easy. It's just a short 30-45 hike up a gentle slope with stairs built into the trail with rubble, granite slabs and other materials. Once atop the peak you can easily see Mt. Anhangava to the southeast (the next immediate peak) and also the Marumbi complex to the South. Other notable peaks are visible on a clear day such as Pico Paraná (highest peak in the state), among others.
Be sure to bring water and a snack if you plan on staying at the peak. Sunblock is a good idea due to the high levels of solar radiation in southern Brazil.
