Geocache Description:

Please join in as we clean up the shore of West Island State Reservation in Fairhaven in support of COASTSWEEP 2015 - The Massachusetts Annual Statewide Coastal Cleanup!

The 338 acre West Island State Reservation is owned by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, as a habitat for common and rare resident and migratory bird species. The land includes salt marshes, brackish ponds, mud flats, rocky headlands, wetlands, hardwood forests and sandy beaches.

The clean-up will run from 10:00 a.m. until Noon.

Please feel free to come and join us starting at 9:00 a.m. at the posted location near the beach for coffee and donuts before we head out to clean the beaches.
