Geocache Description:

The hot footbath of the three backward brothers - funny tales, hiking and warm feet around Dalvík

In Iceland there lived three Brothers, who were not very bright. They were called the "Bakkabræður", the Backward Brothers. Their names were Gisli, Eirikur and Helgi.

The three Brothers once built a small house. It took them a whole day and they were working until late at night. When they went inside the house, it was completely dark, so they couldn't see how much Brennivin they have in their cups.
Gisli said "Brothers, I can't see to the bottom of my cup!"
Erikur replied "I can't either!"
Helgi asked "Now we don't now if our cups are full or empty?"
Gisli then said "It is so dark in here, even my cup is filled with it!"
"So is mine!" said Helgi.
Erikur stuttered "Mine too, look!" and turned to show his brothers. The Brothers tripped and Gisli fell outside. He shouted "Look, brothers, my cup is filled with sunlight!"
Helgi's brothers came out with their cups. Helgi and Erikur shouted "The dark has drained out of my cup, there's just sunlight inside"
Gisli then had an idea "Why don't we carry the sunlight inside our house with the cups?"
And so the three brothers did, running in and out with the cups for hours until it was bright in the house.

Now that's not the only tale about the Bakkabræður, another one is about their hot footbath.
The brothers knew that taking a warm footbath is good for their health - so they all went to the Fótlaugar. But when the all had their feet in the water they couldn't tell which foot belongs to whom. They were afraid of getting out of the water - somebody might use the wrong feet! So they waited until a traveller came along his way.
"Good man, can you help us? We don't know whose foot belongs to whom!" said the brothers "Of course!" said the traveller, and hit one foot. The first brother jumped out of the pool, having found his foot again. The traveller hit another foot, and the second brother jumped out - happy on his feet. And the third brother now knew that the remaining two feet must be his.

The cache is near the hot footbath, the starting point is the little coffee house in town which is all themed around the three brothers - you don't need to go inside it, you can solve the riddle from outside.
You will find the next stage at N65° 55.[z][y-1]1' W18° 34.[x][y]3'
z = The number of "a" you find on the line under the name of the three Brothers (not æ)
y = How many pieces of wood is the sign made of (horizontally and vertically)?
x = The Name of the third brother contains a round shaped letter. What number does it look like?
