Meet at the posted coordinates at 12:00 noon on Sunday 21st September. We anticipate that the event will be over by 1:15pm thus freeing up more of your Sunday afternoon for whatever other strange activities you fill your lives with!
Our wrap-up event is held outdoors in the Alberta Innovates social field, which is within the University of Calgary campus and has a large parking lot adjacent. There are no facilities here, so please bring your own chair if you wish, and arrive on an empty bladder! We'll have hand sanitizer available!
There will be free food for everyone, including BBQ'd hot dogs (chicken), a ham sandwich station, drinks and the glorious return of the CCAR Cake (CCAKE)! This is an event to celebrate the end of the road rally portion of CCARF14 and we hope that you will socialize with your fellow road warriors. Whether you bring a chair or not, we encourage you to stand and move around. This would be an excellent time to compare notes on the caches you have found and to discuss must-see caches that you have yet to encounter.
We'll have frisbees in the field, and we've got other fun activities for you to participate in! This event will be held rain or shine, so be prepared for Calgary weather!
The Wrap-Up event marks the end of a 26-hour road rally of cache-finding endurance. However the CCARF14 weekend is defined by many characteristics.

Cool those engines and fill your tanks as you join us at the Alberta Innovates field for a BBQ picnic of hot dogs (chicken), ham sandwiches, drinks, chips and cake!
Turn up, log in, hang out! The event where going furthur comes to an end!
Mingle with your road buddies and share your drivers’ tales of daring-do! There’s lots of parking in the nearby lot. You’ll see us in the field!
Weather may be inclement so please dress as if you live in the Calgary area!
Event starts at noon and we’ve got stuff a’happenin’ every 10 minutes or so afterwards - doncha be late! We should be done by 1:15pm but you’re welcome to hang out all afternoon!
Voting
We’ve changed the voting system again and pushed it online. Why? Deadline for voting is Tuesday 23rd September at midnight – this gives you:
a) More cache hunting time – missed some good’uns on the weekend? Now you’ve got Monday and Tuesday to catch up!
b) More thought collection time – need to sit and ponder a while? Not quite ready at the wrap-up to vote? Now you can vote from the comfort of your PJs!
The online voting site will be opened at 10:00am on Saturday 20th September (at the start of the hunting season), and will close at midnight on Tuesday 23rd September. You can vote anytime between those dates, but you may vote only once. Your votes are important! Let your favourite caches rise to the top! You may vote for a cache in each category and also for best overall cache.
We’ll have reminders of voting at the wrap-up event, too, and at the launch event (Vehicle Inspection) we’ll give you a “Notes from the Road” sheet to scribble your notes onto(also will be downloadable from our website).
The results will be announced at a special Pizza and Beer event held on Thursday 25th September!

If you participated in CCARF14 by hiding a cache and/or finding a cache and/or attending this event, you are invited to log an “Attended” log for it! Thank you!
