Church Micro 6061...Gwrhyd Chapel Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

jabawokee: Went to check up on this one, it had gone.
Due to recent logs noting possible damage to the wall and for some catchers not able to take simple instructions we have reluctantly decided that this one should go, for shame!

Geocache Description:

Another in our series of Church Micros in the South Wales area.

Not within the Church precincts, so please don't search in the grounds.

Parking available nearby, BYOP and tweezers.

Please replace as found and no chatting between yourselves as it might ruin it for others

NOT in the wall so don't bother to look there, we have seen a couple of Logs stating slates are being moved, there is no reason to do so.

High on the uplands of Cefn Gwrhyd stands the lonely and isolated Gwrhyd Welsh Independent Chapel.
Built in 1856, costing £350, the exposed site was chosen because in the 1850s, it was centre for rural Chapel-goers who came from the surrounding farms on horseback or on foot.
The building attached to the Chapel on the left is the old Schoolhouse.
