Geocache Description:

Slēpnis ir maza izmēra kastīte ar logbooku , zīmuli un vietu maiņas lietiņām.Pats slēpnis ir veltīts Džūkstes pagastam

Džūkste ir apdzīvota vieta Tukuma novada Džūkstes pagastā, pagasta centrs. Izvietojusies pie Pienavas ietekas Džūkstē 29 km no novada centra Tukuma un 66 km no Rīgas.

Apdzīvotā vieta izveidojusies netālu no bijušās Džūkstes muižas (Siuxt) centra, kur pēc Kurzemes hercoga Ketlera pavēles uzbūvēja baznīcu un vēlāk arī krogu un 1860. gadā pagastnamu.^[2] 1931. gadā Džūkstei piešķīra biezi apdzīvotas vietas (ciema) statusu. Džūkstē atrodas apvienotā Slampes un Džūkstes pagastu pārvalde, pamatskola, kultūras nams, bibliotēka, pasts.
