Cache Bash Guidelines
The objective is to find the selected caches, "log them", and then report back to "home base" in the best time possible. This is for FUN so walk or run... go at your own pace - just be safe and enjoy your day with old, and new GeoFriends.
Each team (Single, Pairs, and Teams of +3) will sign-up on the appropriate sheet when checking in. There will be one round that you can begin at any time.
The final score will be calculated "per person" so there is not a large advantage to working in bigger groups - so just do what you'll enjoy the most. At the beginning every geocacher or team will receive their "Cache Bash Log Sheet" which will list the coordinates of the cache locations. Paper and GPX files will be available for upload at the registration tables. Teams should not start until the activity host signals that the fun has begun.
On reaching a cache, the team will sign the log and use the stamp from the cache on their Cache Bash Log Sheet. In the event that a cache is believed to be muggled, contact one of the event hosts. PLEASE replace the caches as you have found them. Once you have 'logged' all the caches, get back to "home base" and the activity host will time stamp your log sheet. There are several 'evil' caches in the course and some caches will be harder to reach/find than others. For each cache you log/stamp, you'll get the points that posted on the logsheet.
All sheets should be turned in to "home base" before the end of the Bash. Not all caches need to be found in order to turn in your log for consideration. The winning team will be the one that completed the course in the shortest amount of time per person. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker activity will be given by the host OR the teams will split the title and any other boons.
