This cache is a Wherigo. To find it you will need to be able to run the Wherigo software. Previously, certain brands of GPS were required to find Wherigo caches but a recent advancement in smartphones means Wherigo apps are now available for most popular handsets. You will need to download the relevant cartridge for the Wherigo before you start. If you don't have the web on your device, you need to do this before leaving home. Click here to download the cartridge. The cartridge will lead you to this cache first (Blackmoustache's Island) and then to a second logable cache, (Blackmoustache's Treasure GC56X5M). You need to find both boxes to log both caches.
Ay, well, Blackmoustache is still remembered by many in these parts, despite the efforts they've made to forget him. While never making onto the 'top 10,000 pirates list' (there were never that many pirates on the list anyhow) he was still the only one to be known of in these parts. Ye would have been terrified of meeting him, terrified of listening to the piddling waffle he would have bored ye to your tomb listening...
In his later years thee famed captain of the low and very small seas decided having sunk his vessel, that he wants to sail over hill and valley. His last box of treasure was stolen by one of the most evil and hardly gangs of the region (a couple of magpies) so this time, he decided it needed to be hidden out of reach. This time it would be hidden on a proper island surrounded by sharks and deep water... or when recently visited, rather limited water that would struggle to keep a mouse at bay, and guarded by a deer, who ran off without any attempt to guard the chest.
So make ye way to yonder start co-ordinates, fire up the old Wherigo and join Black Moustache for one final adventure. Answer ye questions, and if you think you don't know what you're doing at times, take comfort in the fact that the great Black Moustache never did either, and look where it got him... Ye will be able to view various items Blackmoustache dropped as you go but ye don't need to pick anything up so don't ye be worrying if you can't.
Note: This cartridge has undergone basic testing. Please be aware it's impossible for me to test it on all devices. It doesn't involve any overly difficult terrain but will involve a walk on the moors visiting a number of stages. Please allow around an hour to complete the walk.
