Geocache Description:

This is a one of a series of 51 caches (50 traditional (States) and a puzzle bonus (USA)) that will take you around the town of Thornbury.

All the caches are to do with the USA and will give you info on all the states.

To help you navigate the public footways around this area, the Explorer 167 map will be helpful.

Once you have found all the caches in the series, send me a message and I will send you a souvenir for you to display on your profile page.

1) Nearly 75% of West Virginia is covered by forests.

2) West Virginia has a mean altitude of 1,500 feet, giving it the highest average altitude east of the Mississippi.

3) West Virginia is considered the southern most northern state and the northern most southern state.

4) Organ Cave, near Ronceverte, is the third largest cave in the United States and the largest in the state.

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire.
