Geocache Description:

Welcome to Bigfoot Country and home of the Bonneville Bigfoots Search!

Learn about the many unique features of picturesque North Bonneville Washington as you search for 10 Bigfoots and their caches hiding out and about along the community's Hamilton Creek Discovery Trail as well as the Bonneville Hot Springs Resort! This cache is part of a continuing series of Bigfoot caches located around this trail!

The Discovery Trail Route and Salmon in the area... The trail now leads us back towards its namesake, Hamilton Creek. This creek is one of the primary waterways that support a healthy local ecosystem.

From viewing the rare chum salmon in the many surrounding streams and small lakes to trying to hook a prickly sturgeon or Chinook salmon in the mighty Columbia, this land provides a wealth of possible fish opportunities.

Located downstream of all Columbia River dams, the water ways of the North Bonneville area provide a crucial rearing spot for many species of the illustrious salmon. For as long as can be remembered the Sasquatch have held the salmon in high regard as it has long provided a large part of our subsistence.  So it has been wonderful to learn that humans now hold the salmon in this same high regard as well!

The Fishing Bigfoot...  Salmon have long been a part of our diet so if you head the right way a short distance off the trail you just may come upon one the Bigfoots heading to the close by Columbia River to try his fishing skills out. Come say hi to him and find his cache!
