This is the lovely church of St St Peter and St Paul in the historic village of Hathern.
The parish church was built with Charnwood Stone. Parts of the structure date back to Saxon and Norman times. Most of it however, was built in the 14th Century, although later it was altered in 1861-2 by rector edward smythies. The oldest parts remaining are the tower which contains a peal of eight bells, the interior walls which are supported by the arches between the nave and the aisles, the priests door in the south wall of the chancel and the saxon font. The north transcept was added in honour of Rev Smythies predecessor Rev Edward thomas March Phillipps who was rector from 1808-1859. Many believe he was the one who was responsible for creating the rumours about Wicked Hathern.
Although there is a cache already present next to the church and this CM is placed nearly 200 metres away, you should have gone past it when travelling to this GZ which is very close to the village cemetery. The cache is not hidden in the cemetery,
