About the Church:
The Moravian movement is the oldest free church in northern Europe, being founded in Bohemia and Moravia in 1457. In 1742 John Cennick, a follower of George Whitefield, started a religious society in Malmesbury and invited the Moravian Brethren to take charge of the congregation in 1745. He started other societies in north Wiltshire but these faded after his death in 1755 and only the Malmesbury group continued. A chapel was built in 1770 and a schoolroom added in 1860. The congregation left its chapel in the mid 1990s but continue to hold services in the old schoolroom, now the Church Hall, which they share with the Society of Friends.
If you walk by the old building, it sadly looks very poor to what it once looked like, but ever 10 years the building normally gets a fresh coat of paint. The old Font can be seen by the side of the building along the street.
About the Cache:
Because of the location of the church, and the surroundng geocaches and condition of the church, I have created this cache as a puzzle.
Attached to this listing is a picture puzzle, by working out the crest for the Moravian Church in the correct places, from top (ABC) and bottom numbers (DEF), using the information you will be able to work out the final geocache location, which is under 5km return journey away from the Church.
Final Coordinates: N 51° 35.ABC W 002° 05.DEF
