A series walk of about 9 miles, including the bonus, taking in Piccadilly Wood and the surrounding area.
From Sneedhams Green take any of the three footpaths heading in an easterly direction; each should lead you to the cache. This walk takes you up above the new motorway services with views over Gloucester and towards the Forest of Dean. You are likely to encounter cows en route. It is advisable to carry a stick of some kind to pat cows if they come too close. Walking sticks are just the job. If you have a geodog with you be prepared to let them go if cows become a threat. Setting it took much longer than we thought with foot bridges gone and footpaths disused so had to rethink but wanted to bag the locations since we'd put so much effort into getting this far and won't be able to come back and complete it until July. Much of the footpaths are well signed but there are parts where we felt we needed to add caches to make the route more obvious. Many of these footpaths haven't see a walker in years. Gloucestershire County Council have a website to report any problems on footpaths, be it an overgrown path or broken stile.
