This is the second cache placed of a planned series within this ancient woodland common.
Many wildlife species and woodland walks can be enjoyed throughout the common which is very popular with dog walkers and horse riders. More information about the common's history and wildlife can be found here.
Permission to place the cache has kindly been granted by the Landowner and the Green Space officer at St Albans City council. Please be sensitive to the native wildlife and where possible stick to the paths. Parking in lay-bys is available along School Lane or the residential roads off Mount Pleasant Lane. The common can get very muddy so please ensure you are wearing suitable clothing and footwear.
Due to the tree coverage GPS bounces around somewhat so you might need to be generous with the search area! The published co-ordinates should take you to a tree where you will find a camo bag containing a tupperware box which in turn contains a tool you will require to find the cache.
Take the tool to the nearby swing and carry on walking a little way then you'll know what to do.
Please ensure you remember to put the tool back where you found it once you have finished with it.
Unfortunately this cache is not suitable for anyone with poor hearing.
