A geocache for those seeking an invigorating walk and some beautiful views. Above the village of Bonnie Strathyre sits Ben Sheann (Beinh an t-Sidhein) which can be accessed via various forest tracks and little used hill paths/quad tracks. This cache is to the North of the true summit of Ben Sheann (Beinh an t-Sidhein) just before the path heads East and back down towards the forest tracks that take you back to the village. It's a small box cache in a camo bag cache. Cache contains a log book, pencil, official geocache key ring, smiley badge, mini highlighter, wristband, golf tees and a listing card. The original nano cache disappeared so this is a replacement. Take a seat on a nearby rock to admire the strange sight and you'll be on the cache! The first time we stumbled upon this strange sight made us laugh, and now each time we visit we always take a moment to examine this 'open and shut' case. Early attempt to find by a geocacher found a problem with the location, but it has been doubled checked, but just in case, the GR is NN 545181.
Cache placed with the kind permission of the Forestry Commission Scotland.
