Challenge - The 4 Corners of the Earth... & Beyond Mystery Cache

How far will you go to achieve a challenge?! Please note the terrain rating for this cache - you attempt it entirely at your own risk. Study this page and you should be able to identify why the T rating is as it is. See below for the D rating!

There is no room for a pen - please bring your own. Tweezers or similar may be useful. You are looking for a white capped child proof bottle. Please replace how you found it as it could easily get lost if not replaced with care.

As this is a challenge cache, the cache IS at the published co-ordinates, but...

You will need to find a minimum of 5 caches (only!) in order to be able to validly log this cache as found.

Each of those 5 caches must be in a different part of the world. To qualify, the 5 caches that you choose must satisfy the following rules:

1. One cache must have published co-ordinates with longitude in the range W000° to W089°
2. One cache must have published co-ordinates with longitude in the range W090° to W180°
3. One cache must have published co-ordinates with longitude in the range E000° to E089°
4. One cache must have published co-ordinates with longitude in the range E090° to E180°
5. The final cache can have published co-ordinates with any longitude but the published co-ordinates must be in the opposite latitudinal hemisphere as the published co-ordinates of the cache in the same quadrant above. In other words you must have 2 caches, one with an N and one with an S published co-ordinates for any one of the longitudinal quadrants of the earth.

As is usual, this cache does not count towards meeting the criteria. I doubt this will be the biggest obstacle to achieving this challenge!

When you submit your find for this cache your log must indicate what 5 caches you are using to qualify for the challenge in the order above (1-5) - preferably with links (although if you don't know how to do this don't worry). In order to make this clearer and in order to illustrate that I have met the criteria, my qualifying 5 caches are:

1. GC1VG40 - Welcome to Donkey Town N 51° 20.028 W 000° 39.167*
2. GC21TFB - Secret Parking? N 37° 33.574 W 122° 16.849
3. GC2W3Y0 - Dubai Micro Mystery N 25° 14.656 E 055° 21.562
4. GC4BRBC - The Stony Resilience of the Singapore Cenotaph N 01° 17.417 E 103° 51.222
5. GCH02Z - Garden Treasure S 20° 06.612 E 057° 34.704 . This cache is in the Southern hemisphere. #3 above is in the Northern hemisphere

The first 4 caches all happen to be in the Northern hemisphere - this is not a requirement of the challenge. I just happen to have found rather more caches in the Northern hemisphere than Southern! So long as you number your caches 1 to 5 you do not have to bolden the appropriate bits in your log, or include the co-ordinates, as I have done above. Enough information (for example the GC code) for me to be easily able to check that they meet the criteria, is required.

Caches found prior to the release of this cache are equally admissible as those found afterwards.

It does not matter what type of caches are used to satisfy the challenge, however, there are FTF recognitions for a number of different cache combinations. See below.

EDIT: It has just been pointed out to me that this cache GC2PPNP - R e f l e c t i o n s might perhaps be used by someone to qualify. I have amended the qualifying criteria above to refer to published co-ordinates for clarity (where for instance published co-ordinates are right on a border of two quadrants and the final location is in a different quadrant due to the normal rules of where puzzle caches can be published) and, more practically, as these are the only co-ordinates that are easily checkable. However, where a cache is obviously not anywhere near to the location that it is published, such as R e f l e c t i o n s, it will be disallowed. The spirit of this challenge is that you have to have shown commitment to caching and have actually travelled to the 4 Corners of the Earth and Beyond. I reserve the right to opine on the suitability of caches submitted.

*Please do go and do the above cache (GC1VG40 - Welcome to Donkey Town) if you have not done so already and approach from the North. The view of the field before you get to the cache is one of my favourite views in the world. It would be nice to hear why you have chosen at least one of the caches that you have submitted.
