ONE IS A SERIES OF HOPEFULLY INTERESTING VIRTUAL CACHES THAT LEAD YOU TO SOME LESSER KNOWN AND EVEN FORGOTTEN HISTORICAL AREAs IN AND AROUND NYC
Although the locations I hope to post over time are certainly not completely unknown, they are mostly forgotten and possibly more minor in their importance depending upon your opinion. I hope to spark peoples curiosity about some of these locations throught various areas in and around NYC by making them virtual caches.
This location was "discovered" by me while working in Brooklyn, NY. Although probably not the same structure that occupied the location at the time, it is well documented in other sources that this is the general location of the occurence.
Once you arrive at the location, face the building along the waterfront (west) and look about eye level for a sign that does not appear to belong there. That sign, and the information it contains is the cache.
Please email me with the results of your find for verification that you found what is described. Look below for some further hints ONLY IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE.
NOTE: 1. the difficulty rating is based on the fact that the cache is an approximately one half mile walk from the nearest subway station (G line); 2. this is mostly an industrial area and caution should be used if a night visit is planned.
