Geocache Description:

A birthday challenge.

This is a challenge cache.
The cache is hidden at the posted coordinates but you need to qualify for this cache to log it! It is very easy to qualify for this cache - all you have to have done is found a cache on its birthday.
Let us be prescise. You need to have logged or will have to log a find for a cache on the first or second or third etc anniversary of it's "hidden" date on the web page. Finding it on the day it is published does not count.
The find must be a genuine find - ie not your own cache and the first time you have found the cache and your log must be on the web page for that cache. When you log this cache as a find please include the GC number of your qualifying cache too.
Finding this cache on it's birthday will qualify as a find!

The cache itself is hidden by the footpath alongside the river Tees - the usual warnings for any riverside walk apply - keep an eye on the little geocachers and if it is raining the path is likely to be muddy (actually it is likely to be muddy at any time!)

The nearest road is on the other side of the river and there is not a river crossing from there so do not try to go directly to the cache. Parking is available in Yarm (FREE for the first 60mins) and then head to the trailhead. From there follow the footpath keeping the river on your right.
