Geocache Description:

I have been visiting this Greek island with my family since 2004 and my uncle and aunt have been living on the hill above Mastahari and building themselves a home here.

My family will continue to visit and my uncle and aunt who live here all year round will maintain this cache for me.

Located on the beautiful Greek Island of Kos, part of the Dodecanese Islands, this is a simple enough cache and dash on the outskirts of Mastahari where there are already two caches so why not make a day of it and wander around the village (hopefully ending up on the beautiful long sandy beach!)

if you do and It is a clear day you will be able to see some Greek Islands. The smallest on your far left would be Safonidi, the next which is a bit bigger would be Nera, then the large island which takes up most of the skyline called Kalimnos (boats leave from Mastahari harbour if you want a day trip to this beatiful island famous for it's challenging rock climbing), then Plati will be seen with chalky cliffs and then to your far right Pserimos. If you are lucky you may be able to glimpse the town of Bodrum, Turkey, in the far distance but the day must be seriously clear for this.

We hope you enjoy this village as much as we do!

(if you want any information on what to do whilst on Kos or the best places to see don't hesitate to email me I'll be happy to help!)
