This is one of a series of caches we have placed on a route from Tauranga to Auckland return (T2A-R). The traditional caches will contain information needed for two bonus caches, one at either end of the trip.
From time to time we travel this route between Tauranga and Auckland, sometimes returning the same day. We have got into the habit of stopping to find a cache or two as a good excuse to take a break from driving, and decided to place a few ourselves.
The co-ords will take you to the vicinity of the Ngatea Water Gardens and Function Centre. Opening hours are 10am -5pm Sunday-Thursday, September-May, and Sundays only during June, July and August, but the sign states they will open by appointment for group bookings. The gates will be locked outside these hours (this won't stop you finding the cache).
You are looking for a small screwtop container with a log sheet only, so bring your own pen. There is room for small swaps and TB's. Please look with your eyes first so you don't damage the surroundings, and take care not to be seen retrieving or replacing the cache.
