This Cache:

At the Edge of the Universe Lies the Ultimate Prize. Beyond Time; Beyond Space; Beyond Your Imagination!

Our story begins in the year 2300. Jim Hawkins is a 12 year old boy who lives at home with his mother on a small island, which doubles as a navigational beacon for incoming space craft and as a boarding house for weary travellers. Their longest resident, space conductor Billy Bones is a retired old man who spent his youth exploring space, but now spends most of his time reminiscing and drinking a soluble alcohol based liquid called "drukk."

Years ago, Bones served under space pirate Captain Flint. On one of their pirate raids, they captured and looted a massive cargo ship called the "Bender", whose holds were full of precious metals and gems. With far too much loot to safely carry or fence all in one go, Flint ordered the crew to set course for an isolated planet.

Flint had Bones draw up a map containing the coordinates of the planet and gave a series of cryptic clues as to where it could be found.

This Series:

This cache is part of the SPACE 2081: A Geocaching Odyssey challenge.

This challenge contains one cache of each difficulty and terrain combination, plus a final cache which can be found only after finding all 81 caches that are part of the series. Each of those 81 caches will contain a code, which you will use as part of the puzzle to solve the FINAL CACHE.

All the members of the space team are actual cachers who are remaining anonymous for the moment. You can find more info on the series, as well as a complete list of released caches HERE. Please do not post hints or spoilers in your logs. Also, each cache must be signed by any individual cachers going for the final.

Good luck, may the force be with you, live long and prosper.
