The Top of Coom lays the claim that it is the highest pub in Ireland. It can't be argued that it's in a remote location here on the Kerry/Cork border in the foothills of Ireland's highest mountains. However, it is and always has been a very popular destination.
The pub recently re-opened on April 25th after being completely re-built after a devastating fire burned the original building to the the ground on May 21st 2012. Ran by the same family for 5 generations, they are more than happy to welcome the Geocaching community to their establishment.
The pub offers finger food only for €5 per person. If you would like to order this, please let me know in your log entry - no mention of wanting - I'll assume it's not required.
