AB 33
From time to time we travel this route between Tauranga and Auckland, sometimes returning the same day. We have got into the habit of stopping to find a cache or two as a good excuse to take a break from driving, and decided to place a few ourselves.
When we left the new SH2 to explore the back roads, we came across an interesting marker. If you are curious as we were, more info can be found on the Land Information New Zealand geodetic database.
There is plenty of room to park on the roadside. You are looking for a 400ml sistema containing a pencil and logbook and a few swaps. There is room for small swaps and TB's. The cache also contains one of the clues you will need to locate the T2A-R: Tauranga Bonus cache. Please rehide the cache well. You may want to come prepared to CITO (we did).
October 2017: PLEASE don't disturb the metal benchmark plate on the ground at GZ, the cache is NOT under it, and moving it leaves a hole that could cause someone to break an ankle!!
FIRST TO FIND: jazzmo. Congratulations!
