W dziewiętnastym wieku we Wrocławiu na budynkach wznoszonych z funduszów miejskich pojawiał się herb miasta.
Herb pochodzi z 1530 roku z nadania króla Czech i Węgier Ferdynanda I Habsburga. Jest pięciopolowy: na środku tarcza z głową Jana Chrzciciela, w górnym , lewym rogu znajduje się biały lew czeski na czerwonym polu, w górnym prawym rogu orzeł śląski na złotym polu, w dolnym lewym rogu litera W na złotym polu i w prawym dolnym czerwonym polu św Jan Ewangielista na odwróconej koronie
W 1938 roku Wrocław miał nowy herb: składający sie z górnej, złotej części - orzeł śląski a w dolnej, Krzyż Żelazny (obrazek 36,37). Po wojnie w latach 1948 - 1990 , obowiązywał herb dwupolowy: na połowie czerwonej tarczy biały orzeł polski i na żółtej połowie czarny orzeł śląski (obrazek 35)

Herb 30 już nie istnieje, herb 25 został ostatnio odkryty pod warstwą tynku, herb 33 zmienił lokalizację z rozebranego budynku gazowni

In the nineteenth century in Wroclaw city the buildings erected with municipal funds was decorated coat of arms.
The present one dates back to 1530 with the granting of the King of Bohemia and Hungary, Ferdinand I of Habsburg. It is built of five parts: the middle of the shield with the head of John the Baptist, in the upper left corner there is a white Czech lion on the red box, in the upper right corner there is the Silesian eagle on a gold field, in the lower left corner there is the “W” letter on a gold field and in the lower right red field there is St. John the Evangelist on the reverse-crowned
In 1938, Wroclaw had a new coat of arms: shield was divided into two parts: the upper, gold with the Silesian eagle and the lower red with the black Iron Cross (picture 36,37). After the Second War, in the years 1948 - 1990, was two-field coat of arms: in the right side the white Polish eagle on a red and the black Silesian eagle on a yellow (picture 35)
