Traditional cache quite near Helsinki. The walk from the parking
place is less than 1 km.
This cache was placed by me and my two friends. It is our first
cache.
The place is near the intersection of two roads, Itäväylä and
Kehä III. There is a small parking place near it.
Although I am not sure, I think the area was a fortification in
the first world war. It was never finished or used in its original
purpose.
There are two caves digged in the rock right next to the cache.
These caves are quite deep and you should be careful when walking
next to them.

This was the first geocache in Vantaa, when it was placed in
2002 by caching pioneers Simopekka, Petri and Raine. It'a a pity
that the impending merger with Helsinki will capture not only
Vikkulla village, but also the landmark cache from Vantaa.
Some people have wondered both the hiding place and hint. They
are not what most cachers of the day are used to. However, longish
hint and "illogical" hiding place are echoes from the dawn of
geocaching. In those days pratices and customs were not settled and
hiders had to operate without precedents.
