This Cache:

THE POSTED COORDINATES ARE USELESS!

Hello, I'm the Doctor. No, not Doctor anything, just the Doctor. I am a Time Lord from the Planet Gallifrey who travels across all of space and time. At the moment, I'm kind of trapped on this planet about 35 years before you're reading this. You see, the thing is, I got touched by a Weeping Angel. Now Weeping Angels, they're a bit different than your normal aliens who want to destroy Earth, exterminate humanity, all that. They're only looking for their next meal. Whenever they touch you, they send you back in time some indeterminate distance, and then feed of off the potential energy created by that process. Honestly, they're the nicest killers in the universe. They don't kill you outright, they send you back in time and let you live yourself to death.

A Weeping Angel

Anyway, when I got touched by one of them, they located my TARDIS. But they don't have the key to unlock it. That's safe with me. But it won't do me any good now, because the TARDIS is far ahead of my time. What I need you to do is stay one step ahead of the Weeping Angels and get my TARDIS back to me. If they got their hands on the TARDIS, they could do horrible things. Oh, by the way, the TARDIS is my means of transport. Stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. It looks like a big blue box. Anyway, back to the task at hand. I need you to find the emergency activation key for the TARDIS. It's a piece of psychic paper that will send the TARDIS to whatever date is written on it. I need you to send it to June 5, 1978. Once you do that, I'll be able to handle the rest.

The TARDIS

Oh, and about the Weeping Angels. Don't worry about them too much. Going along with the whole beings of the theoretical thing, they have this really unique biology. That biology causes them to become quantum-locked whenever they come under the slightest observation. They turn to stone, so they look just like a statue. However, if you aren't paying attention to them, they can move fast. Very fast. Just remember, always keep your eye on them. Don't even blink.

Anyway, that's all I have to say. Here's the first of a series of clues that will get you to where I need you to go. Good luck, and remember, don't blink.

To continue, you will need to find three key words in the photo above. Use them to decode the three sets of encrypted text below. These will provide you with the locations for three of the destinations you will visit on your adventure. Allons-y!

Warning in advance: This cache contains a very extensive field puzzle. The field puzzle portion of this cache may take well over an hour to complete. Driving between the various waypoints will likely be required as well. Doing this in a group might not be a bad idea either. On the bright side, the checker is programmed to respond to all the outlying waypoints as well as the final, so you can check your work in the field if you have a smartphone.

This Series:

This cache is part of the SPACE 2081: A Geocaching Odyssey challenge.

This challenge contains one cache of each difficulty and terrain combination, plus a final cache which can be found only after finding all 81 caches that are part of the series. Each of those 81 caches will contain a code, which you will use as part of the puzzle to solve the FINAL CACHE.

All the members of the space team are actual cachers who are remaining anonymous for the moment. You can find more info on the series, as well as a complete list of released caches HERE. Please do not post hints or spoilers in your logs. Also, each cache must be signed by any individual cachers going for the final.

Good luck, may the force be with you, live long and prosper.
