So we'll begin with the reason for why I decided to call this cache ' Fire D wuk' So on one particular afternoon, I was being forced to clean out a flat that was about to be rented, after about 4 hours of packing things up, sweeping, lifting boxes I felt exhausted, more alarming was the fact that lunch was digesting in my belly, making me feel lazy. I soon decided to tell my boss (my aunt) that I have 'fire d wuk' as i took a powernap for 15 minutes to recharge my batteries. Another day when travelling to the flat, I saw this spot, and thought what a lovely location to put a cache, maybe not as great as the others, but still a better spot than I've seen some of the caches abroad in ! Although perhaps this cache isnt bringing you to interesting locations like the other ones are. Oh well :/
As a bit of background information on who William Mckenzie was, he was a PNM politician, who for 16 years maintained his seat in parliament, as he came from Lambeau, as was a prominent figure from that area the park was named after him in his honour !
On a more serious note, I would like to caution tourists against venturing into Lambeau village, especially at nights, as we know tourists do occassionally get robbed, although the park should be a safe location, but go there at your own risk ! This park overlooks the highway ( if you can call it that) so is in plain view of many people, so should be safe.
The cache you are looking for is a small plastic container, that I think originally had peanut butter (about 20 years ago by the looks of it ) which is wrapped in a black plastic bag, please make sure to cover this cache back well, as local geocachers arch nemesis CEPEP (tobago cleaning people) will muggle the cache if its not hidden well ! Damn that'd be a shame !
I have placed a small micro container inside the geocache as swag, I'd like that to be taken by the FTF, who hopefully will use it to set up a geocache in Tobago, as in Tobago I can only do hides and not many finds :'( boohoo !
Note that you are staying inside the white picket fence, you aren't venturing outside the park, i know that gps' units tend to work a little funky when they are ready in tobago !
Happy hunting !!
