Geocache Description:

Known as Briarmains in Charlotte Bronte's book, Shirley. The Red House Museum is a lovely place to visit.

The Red House Museum is based in Gomersal and is a former home of a cloth merchant. Charlotte Bronte visited often in the 1830's to stay with her friend Mary Taylor. Although there is a charge to visit the Red House, this cache can be found, without any charge. You need to look in the field to the side of the Red House, the cache is located in the small wood at the back. FTF - FLASH & GRUBBLY 19/04/2014
