Trains run to Ayr, Dalmuir and Milngavie via Glasgow and to Lanark and, thanks I think mainly to the endeavours of former MSP Karen Gillon, there is a direct service to Edinburgh. So considerate of ScotRail to provide trains for the citizens of Edinburgh to get to and from Carluke! At about the same time as the introduction of the Glasgow/Edinburgh via Carluke service, a free car park for 330 cars was constructed with high intensity lighting and many CCTV cameras.

This was not my first choice of location, but by an amazing coincidence, brisho06 submitted their cache 'Station Road' at almost the same time as me, but just before. First in gets precedence, so I had to move mine to comply with the minimum cache spacing guidelines.
