Holy Trinity Church is a 12th century building, with a number of distinctive Norman elements still to be seen, including the large font, south doorway, and chancel arch.
The semi-circular Norman door leads from the porch to the Nave. It is decorated by 2 sinister looking heads, dating from about 1150. They were designed partly to fend off evil spirits and partly to warn all who entered to leave their evil thoughts outside.
To the right of the porch can be seen a partly boarded window. This was called the leper’s window where those suffering from leprosy were only allowed to watch the service through the window, not enter the church.
More information about the church can be found in the entrance porch.
The church was open on the Saturday we visited.

“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
