Die Blautopfquelle ist eine der Sehenswürdigkeiten in unserer kleinen Gemeinde Markt Essing - und doch kennt sie fast niemand.
Nachdem es ja schon einen schönen Earthcache (GC296D2) dazu gibt, spare ich mir weitere Details zu diesem Naturphänomen, ihr sollt die Aufgaben dazu schließlich auch vor Ort lösen.
Allerdings möchte ich euch die Chance geben, auch noch einen Tradi an diesem wunderschönen Fleckchen Erde zu loggen - und zwar mit einer anderen Perspektive auf den Blautopf: von oben!
Ihr erreicht den Cache über den Altmühltaler Panoramaweg, parken könnt ihr an den angegebenen Parkkoordinaten. Ein direkter Weg (Luftlinie) von den Parkkoordinaten bzw. dem Earthcache ist nicht möglich, bitte nicht den Hang hinter der Quelle hochklettern, es geht ein wirklich bequemer Weg über die Straße "Am Mühlweg" direkt zum Ziel!
Der Weg ist ein typischer Waldweg, Kinderwagen lassen sich vermutlich gut schieben, Rollstuhlfahrer werden aber Schwierigkeiten haben.
Auf Grund des steilen Hangs, der nur teilweise durch ein Geländer gesichert ist, ist hier besonders auf die Kinder aufzupassen!

The "Blautopfquelle" is one of the most interesting tourist features in our market town of Essing - but nearly unknown.
Because there is already a nice Earthcache (GC296D2), I won't tell you much more details about it as you should answer the EC questions on site.
But I want to give you the chance to log a traditional cache at this beauty spot, too - with a very special top view to the "Blautopf.
You will reach the cache by walking on the "Altmühltaler Panoramaweg", parking will be possible at the given parking coordinates. Please don't go straight (as the crow flies) from the parking coordinates or the Earthcache to the cache, it's not necessary to climb up the hill behind the source. There is a really comfortable track to the target (by way of the street "Am Mühlweg")!
The path is a typical forest track, it should be possible to push baby strollers but wheelchair users may have problems.
Because of the steep gradient, which is just partly protected with a railing, you should keep an eye on your children!
Have fun with this cache and a breathtaking view on the spring!
