Geocache Description:

NB This is a Multi Letterbox Hybrid cache.  The cache is not hidden at the published co-ordinates .
The published co-ordinates are for the Red Phone Box and Red Post Box at Nomansland, where data needs to be collected to complete the formula for the final co=-ordinates N.B. The stamp is not a swop

The cache is hidden on Forestry Commission managed land .Stout footwear recommended.

Please note This cache has been placed in accordance with the New Forest Forestry Commission Permission Agreement . GAGB Agreement for the Forestry Commission New Forest and East Dorset.
N.B. as part of this agreement it is not permitted to seek this cache during the hours of darkness
Please do not leave any edible items

Parking co-ordinates are given because to park at the published co-ordinates could block residents access and it could also hamper your search for data if you parked on top of the P.O. chamber cover.

Parking co-ordinates N 50 57.275 W 001 38.418

At published co-ordinates N 50 57.351 W 001 38.383.

On pole, D.P. number = ab .

On post box the last two digits of the SP number = cd

On P.O. inspection chamber cover the digit beside 7 = e

Final cache location N 50 57.(d-a)(b-1)(c+d) W 001 38.ecc
checksum 53

Two trailhead waypoints are given. Trail head (1) is for a gap entrance into the wood .Trailhead (2) is given because it veers to the right of a" straight line" access to cache area from trailhead (1)"
N.B. A "straight line" route to the cache avoiding trailhead (2) could result in encountering a presently deep muddy section of path .

Trailhead (1) N 50 57.255 W 001 38.398 = gap entrance into wood .

Trailhead (2) N 50 57.182 W 001 38.390 = a birch and oak having a "kiss" .

The final cache location is secluded by scraggy hollies and other trees so access is not buggy friendly .
G.P.S. reception at cache can be jumpy ,but the hint is precise .

The cache is a 1 litre clip and lock plastic container. Inside are two pots. One contains the log book ,and another contains the stamp . (Both pots should remain inside the clip and lock container )
N.B. If you wish to print and impression of the stamp you will need to provide your own ink pad or felt tip pen . (There is a small pin badge for the F.T.F. that has two of something on it )

There is room for small trackables .

The Fine Pair series was originally started by wizardsmum.

If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do, I would just ask that you let mattd2k know first so he can keep track of the numbers and names to avoid duplication.

He also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series so once your cache is published please contact him via his profile page to have yours added.

If you need to contact us please use email which we regulary check and not the new message thingy which we find difficult to use and rarely check (added November 2016)
