Hvězdná Nejjižnější a nejvýchodnější vrchol Šumavy a nejjižnější vrchol ČR. Leží 6,5 km od Vyššího Brodu na hranicích s Rakouskem. Pravý vrchol kopce je 150 m za státní hranicí v Rakousku, kde dosahuje až 1 051 m n. m. Naším nejvyšším bodem je tzv. mrazový srub vysoký 1 037 m n. m. Je z něho krásný výhled do krajiny a na větrné elektrárny na rakouské straně.Přístup je po žluté značce mezi Kapličkami a Mnichovicemi. (poslední číslice=souřadnice D) English The mountain called “Hvězdná“ is the southernmost and the easternmost mountain peak of the Šumava Mountains and it is also the southernmost peak of the Czech Republic. It lies 6.5 kilometres far from the town of Vyšší Brod on the borders with Austria. However the real highest mountain peak with its height 1 051 metres (elevation above sea level) can be found 150 metres behind the state border with Austria, i.e. it is in the Austria territory, though. The highest mountain peak in the Czech Republic territory is so-called “Frost Log Cabin“ with its height 1 037 metres (elevation above sea level). There is a beautiful view from it and you can see not only the landscape but also the wind power stations in the territory of Austria. In order to get to the top you should follow the yellow tourist sign between Kapličky and Mnichovice.
