We hope that in about one and a half years from now we can take her to Madeira and visit this cache in good health. For now we hope and pray that she will recover soon from the things to come, which are needed to overcome this disease. We ask for a positive thought for her, because we believe that this will help.
The cache is placed along the Levada Nova, which has several access points in Calheta of which two are relatively close to its location. You can either do the full walk from Prazeres or go for a short one of about 2 km. We won't be in Madeira to do any cache maintenance, so if you see the logbook is (almost) full or that other maintenance should be done please do so and/or post a note. We found a fellow geocacher willing to do the cache maintenance for us, and will notify him when notes are posted. Without him, and others who offered help, this cache could not have existed. Thank you!
If you can, please send us a picture so we can show as much about Madeira as possible throughout the different seasons. For inspiration for our next visit, please share your nicest walk, restaurant, place or story.
