CARANDIRU
Este é um filme brasileiro de 2003, do género drama, dirigido pelo argentino naturalizado brasileiro Hector Babenco. O filme é uma superprodução baseado no livro Estação Carandiru, do médico Drauzio Varella, onde ele narra suas experiências com a dura realidade dos presídios brasileiros em um trabalho de prevenção à AIDS realizado na Casa de Detenção. O filme aborda o quotidiano da extinta "Casa de Detenção", mais conhecida por Carandiru, antes e durante o massacre ocorrido em 2 de Outubro de 1992, em que mais de 111 presos foram mortos.

This is a Brazilian movie from 2003, from the genre drama, directed by the Argentinian-born Brazilian Hector Babenco. The movie is a super production based on the book "Estação Carandiru", from the doctor Drauzio Varella, where he talks about his experiences with the hard life of the Brazilian prisons in a work of HIV prevention that took place in the Detention House. The film also recalls the day life from the extinct Detention House, mostly known by Carandiru, before and during the massacre held in 2nd October 1992, in which more than 111 inmates were found dead.
