The Theme for Earth Day 2014 is Green Cities
More than half of the world's population lives in cities. The Green Cities campaign was launched to help cities become more sustainable by focusing on three key elements- transportation, energy and building. The goal is to help cities transition to a healthier, cleaner and more economically viable future through improvements in efficiency, regulation reform and investments in renewable technology.

Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other cache-friendly places. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources!
We will pick up trash around designated areas with provided trash bags. (Please bring your own gloves, if desired.)
We will have water and snacks. If you would like to bring a snack or beverage to share, that would be wonderful.
A number of caches are available at or near the park. We hope to have new caches released as well!
Each person who logs an “Attended” for a CITO event on April 26 or April 27 this year earns a 2014 CITO souvenir for their Geocaching profile.
