Geocache Description:

The church of St James and St John is Saxon in origin and it overlooks the village from its north western end. Near the church are the remains of a house in which Sir Frank Whittle lodged while he was working on the development of the jet engine. Dorrington is a small village to the south of Lincoln, not far from Sleaford, there are some lovely cottages, some dating to the 1700s with one of them having the the remains of the old medieval village cross in the garden. The village is listed in Domesday but there’s no mention of a Church or Priest
