The 10th Annual Penobscot River Clean-up Cache In Trash Out Event

This is the tenth planned clean up of the Penobscot River and it's feeder streams in the greater Bangor and Brewer area. Last year was our ninth and again another successful year. Sadly there were tons of trash and debris collected during the 3 hour clean up. There is a need to keep these clean-ups going. There is always more to collect. The rain date will be one week later on the 17th. I will make an announcement if it changes so check here for changes.

Once again this will be an effort of Geocachers from Maine and beyond to do some serious CITO on the banks of the Penobscot River and feeder streams in the City of Brewer Maine All interested can meet at the posted coordinates at 8:00AM  for coffee and donuts. Equipment will be handed out and then you will be directed to your designated areas to begin clean up at 9:00.The clean up goes until around 12:00. From 12:00 to 1:00 PM that afternoon we will regroup at the starting point for a catered picnic lunch to show recognition for our efforts. This will be a wonderful opportunity to give to a community. There have been new walking trails added along the river. Please come and show what geocachers can do to give back to the environment and the community.
