Tribute To Moon
This cache is a tribute to my Dad. He left this Earth 30 years ago today ( March 3rd), way too early as they often say. Although he was only with us a relatively short time, he has taught so many things that have helped me to become the person I am and he still encourages me to be a better person everyday.
Growing up Dad’s knickname was Moon after the comic strip Moon Mullins. When I was picking my Geocaching name I thought it was appropriate to use it too.
One of the things my Dad taught me is to use your talents to help others. I have never met anyone who volunteers as much as Dad always did. He also taught me that you will not get anywhere without hard work. He never looked for or accepted a hand-out. If we didn’t have what we needed he just worked harder. But most importantly he taught me to love God and my family and everything would work out.
I miss him a lot and know he watches over us all the time.
