The Church
The Church of St Thomas in Simpson is a part of the Woughton Ecumenical Parish in Milton Keynes.

The building has a recorded history back to the early 13th century. It is a Grade II Listed building constructed primarily from oolitic limestone. It has a tall slender central tower with clay-peg tiled roof to the nave, porch and transepts and a Welsh slate roof on the chancel.

The tower has a peal of six bells, four of which date to the 17th century. The tower is the oldest part of the structure.

The rest of the building dates mainly from the early 14th century but has been modified and enhanced a number of times, including roof structures as late as the 18th century.

It has been dedicated to St Thomas since at least 1847, however it was originally dedicated to St Nicholas, who is represented in the stained glass window on the nave's north side.

The Cache
At the given coordinates you will be standing at a gate to the west side of the church grounds. On the church wall there is a green sign containing a phone number to contact for baptisms, weddings and other services. This phone number is 01908 ABCDEF

The cache can be found at N52 01.(A-F)(F+C-D)(E-D-F) W000 42.EC(B-C)

You are looking for a 2ml plastic tube. There is room for the log only.

The Rules
There is a public car park within 100 yards of the church (waypoint listed below). Please park here rather than on the road.

You do not need to enter the church grounds to gather the information needed, nor is the cache in the church grounds.

The road past the church is surprisingly busy so please take care when retrieving the cache to make sure you are not seen. Also, as the location is quite public, please ensure you bed the cache well back into its hidey-hole so that it is not obviously visible to passing pedestrians.
