On 23 February 2014, NASCAR presented the most recent running of the Daytona 500 Sprint Cup Series race. The results of that race showed Hendrick Motorsports claiming three of the top five places (1st/Dale Earnhardt, Jr., 4th/Jeff Gordon, and 5th/Jimmie Johnson).
I am a long-time fan of NASCAR, and of the Hendrick Motorsports drivers in particular. With that in mind, I decided to place this cache in recognition of their hard work this past weekend.
The hide location overlooks the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and provides a view of the Las Vegas skyline.
The cache container is a popcorn tin, so please be gentle in handling it, as it will bend out of shape if abused.
DO NOT park alongside Interstate-15 to go for this cache. Exit off of the 15 and park alongside Nevada State Route 604, otherwise known as Las Vegas Boulevard.
